BRINGING OURSELVES INTO CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH AN ECOLOGICAL UNIVERSE

PREMISE **This seems to be an ecological universe.

From humans to the more-than-human, ecosystems to social systems, technology to language, chemical reactions to biological imperatives, this planet to beyond, all matter seems to be in a state of becoming and unbecoming; a becoming and unbecoming that is formed by - and informing - meetings, interactions, entanglements, forces, and processes.

**WORKING THEORY Utilsing enquiry, an ongoing state of curiosity that marries critical thinking with the imaginal, we can:

1. know the universe as ecological, and

2. deepen our invidual and collective relationships with matter (human, the none-human, the more-than-human, and universe) as relational, complex, animated, and entangled.

POSSIBLE OUTCOMES 𓇢𓆸 Becoming available for an embodied knowing of universe as ecological, not just an intellectual understanding.

𓇢𓆸 Weaving a direct relationship with relationality, complexity, entanglement, and an animated universe.

𓇢𓆸 Knowing self as ecological, informed by and informing neighbourhood, place, other human creatures, ancestral lines, the more-than-human, the non-human, current events, ecosystems, social systems, myths, language, technologies, cosmologies, worldviews, possible futures, histories, and more.

𓇢𓆸 Knowing the depth of ecological-ness of fellow human creatures.

𓇢𓆸 Discovering the multitudes in the local, in the small, in the seemingly uninteresting.

𓇢𓆸 Gaining insight and new pathways into, and opening up new possibilities for, what is being experienced as obtuse, stuck, overwhelming, frustrating, complicated, and/or challenging.

Sources of information → Metaphysics → Natural sciences and material reality → Philosophy → Ecology → History

And, by practicing ecological enquiry together, we can practice being in relationship with the **social field,** the invisible but tangible field that arises when we gather in groups.

Enquiry: exploring perspectives, ideas, beliefs, blindspots, and experiences with curiosity, compassion, and depth.

Ecological enquiry: gaining embodied knowing of self and world as ecological.
